Muskogee Community Hospital Setting New Standards for Our Future |
Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design (LEED) has become the standard of excellence by which all buildings in the 21st Century will be judged. Thermal comfort, the use of natural daylight, construction practices in using recycled materials as well as practices in how one disposes of construction waste; all are part of the LEED scorecard.
In healthcare and hospitals, LEED Gold means just what it infers: a project going way above the call of duty in sustainability, green, renewable and conservation efforts.
And, that’s just the beginning of the performance scorecard for your Muskogee Community Hospital.
MCH will be the first hospital project in the United States to utilize a Geothermal system for its heating and cooling needs. Just imagine, 280 wells, each 300 feet in depth spread throughout the site serving as a natural radiator to the entire Hospital!
The list goes on. Our energy performance is predicted to be among the most sophisticated in the nation. The EPA is already recognizing this project as one to watch. Rather than using copper piping, we utilize CPVC, made with recycled content and highly effective.
And, our exclusive UV light cleaning system in our Operating rooms will not only clean the air but every surface in the OR. Another first for your MCH!
